Tourism Ireland’s 2015 programme kicks off at Vakantiebeurs, The Netherlands
Tourism Ireland’s programme of promotions for 2015 has kicked off with a presence at the largest holiday and travel fair in the Netherlands, Vakantiebeurs in Utrecht.
Nine tourism companies from around the island of Ireland are with Tourism Ireland at the six-day event, which attracted more than 122,000 visitors in 2014.
Karen van der Horst, Tourism Ireland’s manager for the Netherlands, said: “2014 was a good year for Dutch visitors to Ireland and Tourism Ireland will be rolling out an extensive programme of promotional activity throughout 2015 – to keep the momentum going and build on that growth.”
Promoting the Wild Atlantic Way and the Causeway Coastal Route will continue to be a major focus of Tourism Ireland’s activity in the Netherlands and elsewhere around the world in 2015.
This year has also been designated ID2015 (the year of Irish design), a showcase of the best of Irish design, and Tourism Ireland will highlight this special year, as well as continuing to highlight ease of access from the Netherlands to the island of Ireland.
