Search starts for Ireland’s top software companies

The Irish Software Association (ISA), the Ibec group that represents Irish software companies, today launched the 2015 ISA Software Industry Awards.

The ISA is urging all Irish software and digital technology companies to submit their own entries for the Awards by Wednesday 30 September. Entry is free and unrestricted. Sponsors of the Awards include William Fry, Bank of Ireland and Enterprise Ireland.

“Ireland has an impressive scaling indigenous technology sector that employs over 12,000 people and has total sales revenue of more than €2 billion per annum. Many of these companies are leading exporters and are becoming tech multinationals in their own right,” said Cronan McNamara, Chair of the ISA and Founder of Creme Global, an Irish software company specialising in predictive intake modelling.

Paul Sweetman, ISA Director added: “It is true to say that Ireland is an increasingly influential global technology hub. This year’s ISA Awards will recognise and celebrate those companies who have achieved exceptional success and developed innovative digital technologies over the past 12 months.”

Previous winners include: CarTrawler, Openet, S3 Group, The Now Factory and Helix Health.

The eight categories available are ISA Digital Technology Company of the Year; Outstanding Achievement In International Growth; Digital Technology Services Project of the Year; Emerging Company of the Year; Technology Innovation of the Year; Excellence in Talent Development; Multinational Corporation Initiative of the Year; and Outstanding Academic Achievement of the Year.

The awards will take place in the Double Tree by Hilton in Dublin on Friday 20 November. For more information on how to enter see www.software.ie/awards.
