Irish pharma start-up EireChrom wins funding and is up for awards

Irish pharma company EireChrom has won a share of the IE Domain Registry’s €150,000 Optimise fund as well as being chosen as one of eight recipients of funding from the Ryan Entrepreneurship Fund.

In addition, the company which was established in 2013 by PJ Moloney has been shortlisted in the InterTradeireland Seedcorn competition and the Irish Pharma Awards, which take place in October.

Based in Mahon, Co Cork and Clonmel, Co Tipperary, EireChrom specialises in mass spectrometry, which is an advanced separations science technique that has both quantitative and qualitative uses within the chemical analysis and life science sectors.

Moloney said the funding would go towards growing the company, developing its product base and assisting in reaching its target market at a faster pace through web and online.

Enterprise Ireland identified EireChrom as a high potential start-up in 2014.
