Ireland ranked 20th in terms of attractiveness as a work location

Ireland has been ranked 20th among 55 countries in terms of its attractiveness as a work location in the Indeed Hiring Lab’s Location Desirability Index.

Online job search service has sites in more than 50 countries and 28 languages and opened its EMEA headquarters in Dublin in 2012 where it employs over 150 people.

According to the index, the largest numbers searching for jobs in Ireland from abroad come from the UK, the US, Spain, France and Italy.

For job seekers looking at Ireland, the most popular jobs being sought include pharmacy, marketing and quantity surveyor roles.

“Whilst Ireland is not near the bottom of the table, this research clearly indicates there is work to be done in ensuring Ireland continues to attract top talent from overseas,” said Gerard Murnaghan, managing director at Indeed Ireland.
