Cliffs of Moher partners with ConnectIreland to drive FDI referrals scheme

The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience attraction has announced a partnership with ConnectIreland to encourage visitors to help drive inward investment to Ireland.

Visitors to the attraction will be asked to think about who they know and encourage international companies to consider Ireland as a place to do business.

ConnectIreland delivers the Government’s Succeed in Ireland Initiative in association with IDA Ireland. The initiative aims to attract investment in Ireland through referrals.

Promotional material explaining the ConnectIreland model and how people can get involved and earn a financial reward is now on display in the visitor centre.

“Over 75pc of the visitors to the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience are from overseas and we see this as an opportunity to share information on the opportunities for job creation through ConnectIreland with an international audience,” said Katherine Webster, director, Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience.

“With visitor numbers totalling over 1 million in 2014, the Cliffs are the perfect avenue for us to reach potential new connectors,” said Joanna Murphy, CEO, ConnectIreland. “Anyone has the potential to connect – it is simply about reaching out to friends and family and finding out if the companies they work in are considering expansion. We will do the rest.

“Simply by registering as a connector and referring a company to ConnectIreland, you could help to create jobs right across Ireland. When a company successfully establishes in Ireland, the connector who introduced them to ConnectIreland stands to receive up to €1,500 per job, to a maximum of 100 jobs.”
