Head Of Quality
This role will continuously promote quality and customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that the Company complies with all applicable quality system requirements and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Champion Quality within the Company by continuously promoting quality and customer satisfaction
- Participate as a key member of the site leadership team contributing to the overall effectiveness of the business including strategy development
- Lead team circa 30-35 people
- Represent Cork site in global Group Quality initiatives
- Manage and develop people to ensure high performance standards are met and future key technical and leadership roles are filled internally
- Develop and manage all aspects of the departmental budget (including capital expenditure)
- Ensure quality strategies and priorities are aligned to support the overall business strategy
- Develop and oversee the implementation of effective and efficient quality management strategies, systems, and policies covering audit readiness, regulatory compliance, testing, reporting, change controls, risk assessments, supplier approvals
- Develop and maintain critical relationships across the business (particularly with Operations, Commercial, Innovation)
- Work with Innovation, Operations and Commercial on new product developments to assess risk and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
- Plan for future requirements including compliance, regulations, new technologies, capital planning, talent management
- Continue to build a strong food safety culture
Education
- Degree-qualified
Experience
- Circa 10 years’ experience in Quality management in a complex, high-volume manufacturing food industry
- Proven track record of introducing and embedding best quality practices (setting high standards)
- Experience in problem solving and process improvement methodologies.
