The Role:

We’re looking for a Chief Executive Officer to manage develop and grow the business. You’ll have responsibility for Commercial, Financial and Operational performance of the business, including delivery of profit targets, margin management, focused cost control, management of operational & customer metrics. You will develop an overall strategy for the business and lead the implementation of agreed strategic initiatives for the business.

Profile:

  • The successful candidate will have the following attributes/experience:
  • Customer focused with strong commercial acumen
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant Leadership experience in a similar manufacturing business.
  • Excellent negotiation skills in a commercial context.
  • Experience of building relationships and influencing outcomes with stakeholders.
  • Experience and knowledge of International business to business sector and in a highly regulated environment like Agribusiness.
  • Excellent working knowledge of relevant regulatory standards governing industry.


Responsibility:

  • Develop the commercial arm to drive innovation and added value for the business.
  • Managing the overall operational performance of the business.
  • Leading and managing effective and sustainable organisational change.
  • Managing all capital expenditure for the business.
  • Manage a cross functional management team to deliver objectives covering Operations, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, People, Quality and Customer Service.

The Organisation

This Europe-wide precision manufacturing business supplies leading industrial firms in over 80 countries across automotive, medical, aerospace, marine, defence and general engineering sectors. It is part of a US owned global business employing 1000 people, with manufacturing and distribution facilities in Ireland, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland and the US.

Position summary/role overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and optimise the procurement activities that support one of the company’s European operations and within 12 months expand the role to cover additional countries / other sites in Europe. The role is responsible for leading the procurement function (a 4 person team), to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of goods and services. It involves developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement in the supply chain. This role will also have wider responsibilities, covering other European operations.

The role will collaborate closely with our division supply chain network, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of buyers based in Germany supporting the company’s German brand.
  • Streamline procurement and logistics processes to enhance service levels and reduce costs.
  • Manage, report and analyse all direct and indirect spend.
  • Implement KPI-driven performance tracking, digital tools and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supplier evaluation, selection, and negotiation; maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, logistics, and finance teams.
  • Ensure high level of data management within ERP and planning tools.


Key Europe-wide Responsibilities

  • Report and analyse spend, inventory, data management and stock outs/shortages for numerous European sites.
  • Assist with procurement strategies and supply chain activities.
  • Provide ERP and supply chain data management support.
  • Support Division Head of Supply Chain and Procurement on key projects


Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in procurement, ideally along with exposure to supply chain or inventory management.
  • Experience in cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and supplier development.
  • High level of ERP knowledge ideally.
  • German language skills an advantage but not essential.

Job Summary

This is a newly created role within a growing business, responsible for high volume manufacturing operations. Establish standards of performance, measure results, analyse workflow and troubleshoot problems.


Experience

At least 5 years’ high volume manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience in a medical device or plastics or plastic packaging business, ideally with knowledge of injection moulding manufacturing.


Skills

Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Able to analyse performance data and present actionable insights.

Able to influence and collaborate with all levels of the business.

Good understanding of lean manufacturing.


Role Responsibilities

Maintain a safe environment, enforce safety procedures/policies.

Manage the performance of the production facility, including resourcing, manpower, and efficiency.

Monitor production data (downtime, waste, non-conformances) and implement solutions.

Monitor plant performance by shift, creating goals and reviewing tracking metrics.

Implement and uphold ISO 13485 standards, ensuring GMP compliance and product quality

Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.

  • Expertise in injection moulding, automated assembly equipment and packaging machinery is highly desirable.Knowledge of utility operations (compressors, chillers, dust extraction) is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Quality processes such as Process Control, Change Management, Root Cause Analysis, and Validation.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of driving performance and cultural change.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset (CI certification desirable).
  • Degree in Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
