This innovative, fast-growing, technology driven manufacturing business has quickly established itself as a market leader within Ireland. Demand for its services is growing strongly and their customer base continues to expand.

Purpose

As part of this growth, they are seeking to appoint a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant to help shape the growth of the company over the coming years. This individual will be part of the senior management team and reports directly to the Managing Director, liaising with and getting support from the Group Financial Controller.

If you’re as happy rolling up your sleeves on day-to-day finance issues as you are advising the Managing Director and your senior management team colleagues, then this opportunity might be your next step.

This is a fast-paced environment, so you will have strong communication skills and the ability to multitask, providing financial support, information and guidance across all areas of the business.

The nature of the role and the company’s strong team-based culture means being on site c. 3-4 days per week at the Enniscorthy Head Office.

Responsibilities:

Month end management accounts.

Financial reporting

Expenses & payments.

Invoices & reconciliations

Payroll

Accounts payable and receivable.

Implementing process & systems changes as required.

Role Requirements:

6+ years' experience in Finance (CIMA, ACCA or similar qualification).

An analytical and forward thinker. Be able to recognise and address problems.

Work autonomously and be a key contributor on the Senior Management team.

Provide tactical advice and financial leadership.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Be an authentic and positive driving force amongst the team.

Role Purpose

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.

  • Maintain positive and long-lasting customer relations.

  • Hand-on approach in supervising, guiding, and delegating duties.

  • Assess, manage and resolve problematic developments and situations.

  • Establish strong working relationships with all departments ensuring a cohesive approach to delivery of budgeted metrics and other key performance indicators.

Function:
As Financial Leader/Controller, you will be responsible for providing overall financial leadership for the company. You will be accountable for analysing and negotiating procurements, delivering financial and operating results, budgeting, forecasting and business development support. You will also provide counsel to Senior Management Team on all financial matters that focuses on maximizing the revenue growth, profitability and cash flow generation, as well as cost management, operational improvement, capital expenditure investment activities and asset management.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Procurement negotiations, analysis and control
• Creating and preparing financial analysis, product costing analysis, track and communicate capital expenditure projects, excess and obsolete inventory review
• Timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends
• Variance analysis and payroll processing
• Roll out and analyze impact of, Rolling 12-month Forecast
• Production of monthly management and statutory accounts
• Cash Control and Cash Flow management
• Prepares annual employee valuations and statements.
• Be responsible for the preparation and review of various financial plans to include the provision of recommendations to leadership teams.
• Continually identify and drive cost improvements throughout the organisation
• Introduce manufacturing accounting systems
• Develop a cost reduction system for all areas under remit with clear targets and methods of measurement

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
• Professional qualification CIMA
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong Procurement experience, preferably in a large-scale manufacturing facility
• An analytical and forward thinker. Be able to recognise a problem before it’s too late
• Ability to communicate effectively; demonstrated success with verbal and written business communications
