The Role:
We’re looking for a Chief Executive Officer to manage develop and grow the business. You’ll have responsibility for Commercial, Financial and Operational performance of the business, including delivery of profit targets, margin management, focused cost control, management of operational & customer metrics. You will develop an overall strategy for the business and lead the implementation of agreed strategic initiatives for the business.
Profile:
- The successful candidate will have the following attributes/experience:
- Customer focused with strong commercial acumen
- Minimum of 10 years relevant Leadership experience in a similar manufacturing business.
- Excellent negotiation skills in a commercial context.
- Experience of building relationships and influencing outcomes with stakeholders.
- Experience and knowledge of International business to business sector and in a highly regulated environment like Agribusiness.
- Excellent working knowledge of relevant regulatory standards governing industry.

Job Purpose
- Responsible for full oversite of the company, Maintenance and Engineering functions.
- To ensure quality through proactive monitoring and review of products, equipment and process efficiencies and to plan and implement improvements.
- To manage capital projects and develop all aspects of the manufacturing operation to ensure the growth and profit earning capacity as detailed in the agreed budgets and strategic plan is delivered and maintained.
- To research, develop and introduce new products and processes at a site level to satisfy new and existing customers’ requirements.
- To leverage support of Pretium Group Engineering function on larger scale complex projects.
Key accountabilities
- Monitor and manage the sites facilities and processes to optimise throughput and efficiency whilst ensuring customer expectations for quality and delivery are met on time and in full.
- Recruit, mentor, motivate and manage a team of engineers and technicians capable of maximising the plants performance and potential ensuring personal development, cross training and succession planning meets current and future business needs.
- Monitor and performance manage resources to ensure that the requirements of the business are met while controlling expenditure for labour, direct expense and consumables within the approved budget and provide early indications of any potential variances to assist the overall company forecasting.
- Promote and drive an ethos of continuous improvement in all areas of the business.
- Review and adopt best working practices and operational methods to maintain process efficiency and competitiveness.
- Support the Management Team to ensure the business conforms to management systems requirements and the management system is capable of achieving the business targets for; quality, health and safety, environmental, social responsibility, sustainability, GMP and food hygiene and personnel discipline and performance.
- Plan and implement changes to ensure the integrity of the management system is maintained.
- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors and customers.

Qualifications
- Educational and Professional:
- Graduate in an engineering or related scientific discipline
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Minimum 5 years management experience of leading a facilities & technical department within a manufacturing organisation.
- Knowledge of polymers and polymer processing would be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing technical capital projects.
- Minimum of 3 years managing new product/process development and introduction.
- Knowledge of labour, health and safety and environmental legislation.

Experience

Position summary/role overview

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of buyers based in Germany supporting the company’s German brand.
