Scope:

Reporting to the Head of QA, the Site Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for driving and maintaining best practice quality standard in a manufacturing environment. He/She will co-ordinate all the activities of the site QA team to meet customer requirements and QA compliance targets through communication & coaching of internal customers.


Scope:

Reporting to the Head of QA, the Site Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for driving and maintaining best practice quality standard in a manufacturing environment.  He/She will co-ordinate all the activities of the site QA team to meet customer requirements and QA compliance targets through communication & coaching of internal customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Quality voice for new product development and innovation.
  • Owner of Quality management and Food Safety System 
  • Lead Customer Audits and ensure all complaints are dealt with on a timely manner
  • Update and communicate to site new standards and requirements
  • Measure close out of technical issues, NC’s, CAPAs, Supplier issues, Hygiene, Documentation         
  • Maintain accreditation (FSSC22000) & liaise with DAFM on site quality issues.
  • Manage and continuously improve the site QA Program using CI tools to excel at the basics
  • Develop and instil Food Safety behaviours across the site.
  • lead, Coach, develop site to drive a food safety and compliance culture

Education/ Experience / Skills:

  • Qualification Required: Science Degree in a relevant discipline
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a Food Manufacturing Environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • A Team player
  • Ability to influence others at all levels in the organization
  • A coaching mindset to promote exceedance of the best practice standard
  • A questioning mentality with the objective of driving best practice
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through team work, motivation and employee engagement
  • Results-orientated with a proven record of achievement
  • Constantly communicates the best practice standard and the importance of why we need to work in a particular way to achieve a culture of being audit ready all day every day
  • Builds the capability and confidence of direct reports to aid them to achieve personal potential and meet the business requirements.
  • Consistently challenges the status quo and works with production to find a better way while not compromising EHS or Quality standards.
  • Completes projects and actions assigned in accordance with designated timelines, overcoming setbacks
  • Excellent technical competence with the capacity to effectively analyze issues and problem solve in accordance with CI philosophy;
  • A positive, can-do, resilient and flexible attitude.
