Job Description

Our client C&D Foods, a Leading Food Manufacturing Company and one of the Largest Private Label Pet food producers in Europe is currently looking for a Engineering Manager to join there team at there Longford site in Edgeworthstown.

Scope

Due to continuing growth and expansion our client C&D Foods requires an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development of engineering structures and systems to support this growth and development.

Reporting to the General Manager the position will be responsible for maintenance, capital projects, utilities, facilities and health and safety. The successful candidate will support company strategy by implementing an effective engineering strategy to minimise downtime, optimise plant performance, prevent loss and wastage, ensure environmental compliance and improved employee safety.

The objective will be achieved by creating a proactive engineering team that will focus on planning and scheduling, effective/relevant key performance measures, preventative and predictive maintenance, reliability engineering, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have an Engineering Degree and substantial engineering experience in the food or process industry along with 10 years technical and management experience in a large scale fast moving processing environment.
  • He/she will also have a demonstrated track record in maintenance and project management and will be familiar with modern maintenance management techniques.
  • He/she will be results orientated and have strong planning and organisational skills. 
  • In addition, he/she will also be committed to the value and benefits of teamwork, have excellent communication and motivational skills and be constantly seeking to drive change in practices and processes.
